Natural doesn’t have to be nappy

I went natural on August 13, 2014 – 2.5 months ago, and am as in love with my new look as I was the first day I saw my hair free of chemicals and stress. It’s soft, curly, and just easy to manage. . all the things I use to envy about other people’s hair. I colored it the day I had all the perm cut out of my hair, but now the color is growing out. So, my hair is this really cool mix of red, blonde, and brown hairs that I’m just loving. It’s the perfect Fall look for me. Here’s a couple of pics.

I have been consistently using the products I have learned that work for my hair: curling gel and olive oil. So, my hair is always soft and curly. I just wanted to take a few moments to encourage woman who are still thinking about going natural. Yes, I did it. Yes, I love it. Yes, I endorse going natural as an option for beautifying your hair. Forget what other folks say about people who go natural having nappy hair. . or not combing their hair. That’s bull! I wash my hair weekly. I comb and moisturize my hair every morning. It takes me about 8 minutes to do my daily hair care routine in the morning. No, everyone’s hair is not the same texture. But what’s wrong with trying natural hair? We’re willing to try box braids, crochet braids, and everything else. Why not try what we were born with. Just a thought. Whatever you do. . just find the look, the style, the attitude that allows you to love you. I did.
